GrizzHacks will bring together the greatest young minds for 24 hours of excitement and technological passion. Compete against your peers and other guests in a two day development challenge! Join other students at Oakland University for 24 straight hours of hacking from noon to noon. Tim Flattery (TALK)


Tim Flattery – The Creative Process and Designing for Hollywood Films

Join TALK and CyberOU as they welcome Tim Flattery. A multi-talented creative concept artist and designer, Tim Flattery is an expert in concept development, design, fabrication and story for the entertainment industry. In a career spanning more than 25 years, he has worked on some of the biggest films for some of the most famous directors in the world including Steven Spielberg, Robert Zemeckis and Michael Bay. Among the number of highly anticipated films he has worked on are Rise of the Guardians 2, Star Trek 3, Tomorrowland and Captain America: Winter Soldier. Previously he has designed and overseen full size construction of custom vehicles such as the Batmobile for Batman Forever, The Fantasticar for Fantastic Four: Rise of The Silver Surfer, the Amphibicopter and other vehicles for A.I. Artificial Intelligence. Additionally, he has raised the creative bar with acclaimed design work on award winning and blockbuster films including Saving Private Ryan, Men In Black 1-2, Transformers, Pirates Of The Caribbean, The Hunger Games, Spiderman 2 and many, many others. He has also done creative work for Walt Disney Imagineering, Chimera Design, EA Games and Spinmaster in the area of theme parks, resorts and games.

GM Meet and Greet


GM is coming to campus! GM professionals are looking forward to meeting OU’s engineering and IT students at a casual Meet and Greet on Thursday, Sept. 24, from 12:00 PM1:00 PM in the EC Atrium. Lunch will be provided for students.

GM is looking to fill employment positions, so be sure to bring your best, as GM will be accepting resumes at this brief meet-up.

You’re invited to the 2015 Engineering and IT Career Fair! The fair will be on Tuesday, Sept. 22, in the OU Rec Center from 10:00 AM1:00 PM. All engineering, CS, IT, MIS, and Occupational Safety and Health majors and alumni are welcome to join the 50+ employers already registered for this year.
